In the following images we can observe frames from the simulation of DART rocket in a flight with turbulence. This simulation has been possible thanks to the creation of a complete model on Simulink.
It includes the mechanics of the flight of the rocket therefore the aerodynamic, atmospheric and physical model and the combustion model into the engine.
So from this, by introducing all parameters needed, we can take, for example, the following information: how much the size of the propellant grain affects the pressure in the combustion chamber and the altitude reached, or you can determine the optimum mass of the rocket to maximize altitude, or you can see how the rocket faces dynamically to perturbations like a sudden burst at launch.
